Direct & Indirect Speech
Definition:
Narrating the exact words spoken by a person with out any change is called, "Direct Speech".
01. He said, "The child is ill."
02. He said, "He's swimming in the river."
Direct speech woh hoti jab koi person hum sey kuch kheta hey toh hum wohey baat kisi aur ko boltey hein exact 'same words" me us ko direct speech boltey hein.
Underlined sentences are Direct Speech. Keep the following points in mind in Direct Speech.
01. Direct Speech has two parts. One part written under inverted commas, is called "Report Speech." The part without inverted comma, is called "Reporting Speech."

02. The verb in Reporting Speech is called "Reporting Verbs."

03. After reporting speech, 'comma' is placed. The first letter in which both speeches is written with capital letter.
Nina said, "My father goes to his office."
Natasha said, "I'll visit America."
